Script Translation

Translation of your screenplay, your treatment and your format document.

The film and TV business is getting more international than ever, German production companies work more and more with investors and production companies from abroad. TV shows and films produced abroad are adapted and translated for the German market. Therefore the translator doesn’t only have to think like a script writer but also has to have a competent and firm knowledge of the audience considering its traditions, particularities, culture and mentality. First of all the translator has to analyse the narrative structure always bearing in mind the cultural and lingual particularities of the characters that have to be adapted to the foreign language. Only after this analysis the translation of the text begins.
